Nana had a hat shop. Like her, I too, wanted to unleash my creativity and fashion a custom imprint within the world.  So, I began creating art jewelry and studying metalsmithing. I love connecting my imagination with my hands. From the initial creative concept to the final piece, I find a rhythm – generally it’s a fun rhythm – that allows me to slow down and reconnect with the little girl inside of me, the creative daydreamer.  Yes, quite often, you will find me in my own little world!  Why not? Daydreaming serves as the prelude to my creations… whether it’s a jewelry piece, a painting, visualizations, digital content, or even a project plan.

My work is inspired by my travels, journeys, trials, tribulations, and faith – and the growth that comes from it all.

Before their heavenly transition, I showed my work to my late Mommy & Daddy, and they both said, “You should sell these, Les!”  Like my parents, I feel their advice as part of a creative power from my ancestry, which is embedded in me. So, I gave life to the L Louise Kollective – Art Jewelry, as a movement to inspire uniqueness and bold self-expression with cultural significance.
